Itinerary
Day
1: Wednesday, October 11th
8 pm. Departure from Cordoba and Alta Gracia to the
city of Salta by private bus. (The trip will last approximately
13 hours. 1200 km)
Day
2: Thursday, October 12Th
9 am. Arrival and reception of the group in the city
of Salta. Transfer to Altos de Balcarce Hotel.
Lunch at the hotel
During the afternoon there will be a visit to the historical
center of the city and specially to the principal museums
with expertise guides in each topic. The tour will be
fulfilled with the visit to diverse craft shops.
Dinner at a city restaurant.
Return to the Altos de Balcarce Hotel.
The
city of was founded in XVI century by the order of Viceroy
Toledo with strategic aims, It now-a-days keeps a kind
of colonial idiosyncrasy shown in its architecture and
in many other cultural features.
Day
3: Friday, October 13th
Breakfast at the hotel
Departure to Quebrada de Humahuaca (Province of Jujuy)
previous visit to the historical center of the city
of Jujuy.
In Quebrada de Humahuaca, we will visit the antique
towns of Pumamarca, Posta de Hornillos and its museum,
Tilcara and its museums, Uquía with its exceptional
patrimony of Alto Peruvian painting and the city of
Humahuaca of a plain colonial design.
Lunch at a restaurant in Tilcara.
Return to the city of Salta in the afternoon.
Dinner at a city restaurant.
Return to the hotel Altos de Balcarce.
The
Quebrada de Humahuaca was declared by UNESCO Natural
and Cultural World Heritage on July 2nd of 2003. It’s
a large mountainous valley of 155 km wide with an important
historical background which began at pre Colombian times.
It permanently functioned as means of interaction relating
different territories and cultures.
The diversity of cultural elements makes La Quebrada
a unique patrimonial place, with uncountable tangible
witnesses of the cultural history of the region.
Day
4: Saturday, October 14th
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Calchaqui Valley
going through La Cuesta del Obispo and National Park
Los Cardones.
Arrival to Cachi and visit to the historical center
and Archeological Museum of Cachi.
Lunch at Casa de Campo La Paya an antique
region with important archeological ruins of the pre
Hyspanic times.
The trip continues to Cafayate visiting the historical
towns of Seclantás and Molinos, both of them
worldwide known for their crafts of typical weaves.
Arrival to Cafayate.
Dinner at a city restaurant.
Lodging at Los Sauces Hotel.
The
Calchaqui valley is travelled through by a homonymous
river. It has with an extension of 200 km. Its characterised
by a half-caste culture coming from a native and a colonial
society. Apart from its history, it is also well known
for the development of agro industries, among which
the most outstanding is the growing of different varieties
of vines and their corresponding vineries.
Day
5: Sunday, October 15th
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the historical centre of Cafayate and to the
craft market. (weaves, basketwork, pottery)
Lunch at Las Nubes Vinery, where it
will be possible to appreciate all the processes of
the elaboration of wine and in relation to the different
enological techniques.
Departure to Salta going through La Quebrada de las
Conchas, where the Aeolian erosion created a panorama
of infinity and unimaginable forms.
8pm. Return to the city of Cordoba by private bus (The
trip lasts approximately 13 hours. 1200 Km)

• For the confirmation of the land services booking,
it is necessary to make an advanced payment of the 20%
of the total amount before the 8º of September

Flights:
The international flights are responsibility of the
passengers. The passengers are responsible for the arrival
to the city where the itinerary begins at the time and
date established. The international airlines keep their
own terms and conditions, which are an agreement between
the passenger and the company.
In case of delay of the international flights, the company
will make all the efforts so as to assure that the passenger
enjoys the itinerary in similar conditions as the original
one, but EXPRINTER VIAJES can not be responsible for
the days lost. When this happens, the programs will
end at the time the original tour finishes. EXPRINTER
VIAJES can assist the passenger in additional bookings
of hotel and transportation if it would be necessary.
In this case the costs will be faced by the passenger.
The permitted weight for all the domestic flights within
Argentina is of 15 kg in tourist class and 20 kg in
Business class.
